Fly Swiftly Away

Fly Swiftly Away

A Poem by cynthiabuhainbaello

Fly swiftly away
From Love's tender snare
For the net there will lay
Deep affections and care.
Seducing your emotions
Blinding sound Reason
Swaying your Decisions
With enchanting Persuasion.

Fly swiftly away
From  eventual Pain
When  Sweetness shall mellow
And Departure comes again
Fickle promises break
Seasoned Love grows cold
'Goodbyes' you have to take
A sad heart you will hold.

This poem was inspired by a bird that kept crying for his lady love,  a mating phase for a certain season  for these kinds of birds.  They do meet other partners later and the cycle continues as nature intended.

Nice, I have two Cockatiels and the female will allow me to kiss her, but if I put out my hand, she will shy away.

Thank you Michael -it is the bird's instinct to fly I think.
