Ill let you figure out who the 'little brother' refers to in my poem
As I write this letter to you, my dear little brother, on this cool autumn day, shimmering tears form on my weary eyes as my mind in awe ponders and wonders over how far you have come since that fateful day you set out, stumbling along the path, eager to learn your trade
So far have you come since those days- those young days- when you took the your first steps, stumbling along a toddler eager to learn your trade; pride, arrogance, indignance, excitement rushed through you as you, my foolish little brother, took those first shaky steps on your journey in rebellion to the choice of our father
So far have you come, those days when you practiced, refined your trade, conquering, ruling with an iron fist, the land your kingdom, its inhabitants your people as you ruled conquering all that was to be, and ruling with dignity, having little interference from our father except the occasional messenger to inform you of the passing time.
So far, my little king of a brother, have you come, as kingdom became empire vast, wide, diverse. I watched in awe as kingdoms fell and rose and fell once more, in pity as you, frustrated with confusion, sought to build something that would last forever; in wonder, anxious anticipation as you, revelling in power, subdued others, all in the desires of our Father; in fear as you conquered our family, tore us apart, bent us mercilessly to your will; in astonishment and some semblance of pride as you birthed a new empire- conceived in liberty, nursed in hope and goodwill- ruling as not king, but master; in anxiousness as you built up your empire on the backs of our broken, tired family without remorse or emotion; in wonder as slowly, surely, an empire greater than all those preceding rose up from the shadows gleaming in the golden light
So far, my innovative little brother, have you come, as your eyes- those blinded eyes- began to pry open and understand Father's ways with help from his friend; he opened your eyes, made you see the intentions of our mysterious Father as others failed to do.
As I look upon you now, my eyes no longer hold animosity for you. I no longer see you as my little brother who went out to learn his trade; who conquered all there was to be conquered while time permitted; caused great turmoil, destruction in the world; birthed a powerful empire unlike any other filled with hope, happiness. I no longer stand before you as an older sister looking down at her foolish brother, but as a woman who awaits for your return to embrace you with open arms and say: "Welcome home"
This is probably the best prose poem I've ever witnessed in my life! There is such emotion and I love how the tone is condescending to sheer admiration as the brother learns his father's ways. I don't even know how to describe it... Well done!

I'm just the lonely writer expressing her thoughts through the art of the written word.
