Mythical Creatures

Mythical Creatures

A Poem by PANTHER

Raw North wind raced darkly in the canyons built by man.
Artificial light of street lamps cast shadows of their clan.
Eerie morning movements, last remnants of their night.
Osmosis into waiting lairs, they reach before the light.

During daylight's working hours they be dormant not at rest.
In this there is no dreaming, simply waiting for night's quest.
Welcomed in dark curtain falls, feel the rapture of the dark.
Now their wants needs fulfill they will feed here in the park.

For those homeless here will lay them down, never to be found.
Stray jogger or stray naturalist, becomes dinner hanging round.
What we must do we have done, now enjoy to dance and play.
Excitement you're looking for, mythical creature come you way.
