MY FURRY KID

MY FURRY KID

A Poem by PANTHER

I WAKE, OPEN UP MY EYES, TO FIND WE'RE NOSE TO NOSE.
THE LOW HMMMMMMMMMM MEANS SOMETHING I SUPPOSE.
I PUCKER UP MY LIPS, YOU LICK THEM LIPS NO SURPRISE.
WITH WINK OF MY EYE SHE LEAPS FROM MY CHEST, I RISE.
IN AND OUT BETWEEN MY FEET AS I STEP TO THE KITCHEN.
YOU WOULD THINK SHE'S WELL TRAINED, NOT BEWITCHEN.
THE TRUTH KNOWN, SHE HAS ME EATING OUT OF HER PAW.
ANYONE KNOWS, WHEN YOU COHAB A CAT THAT'S THE LAW.
MORNING MILK GOES IN HER SAUCER, MY COFFEE IN MY CUP.
AS I TRY TO READ THE PAPER, SHE'S THERE TO GIVE THE RUB.
BEEN EIGHTEEN YEARS SINCE MY MORNINGS WENT THAT WAY.
IN MY MIND, WITH TENDER LOVE, THAT'S HOW I START EACH DAY.

What a sweet write about your cat. Obviously you have a routine with her and it is one that pleases both of you. Warm and wonderful thoughts here. Lydi**
