MOTHERHOOD

MOTHERHOOD

A Poem by PANTHER

SHE IS AT PLAY ON THE BEACH THIS DAY IN THE BRIGHT AND SHINING SUN.
AND THE KIDS WILL SAY IN A LOVING WAY, MOM YOU ARE THE BESTEST ONE.
IN THE WATER SHE IS SPLASHING, ROMPING, TENDING TO ALL THREE.
YOU CAN SEE IT IN HER CARING WAY, IT'S AS MOTHERHOOD SHOULD BE

BUILDING CASTLES IN THE SAND, ON A DAY THAT SHE SHOULD REST.
BUT IN HER HEART AND IN HER MIND, IS WHERE FIND A MOTHER'S BEST.
HER WORDS ROLL SOFT, AS THE SEA, AND SHE DOES NOT RAISE HER VOICE.
IT IS PLAIN FOR ALL WHO LOOK AND SEE, IN HER MOTHERHOOD REJOICE.

TO EACH OF THEM SHE GIVES A KISS, AS THEY MUNCH UPON THEIR LUNCH.
THERE IS HAPPINESS AND LOVING THERE, AND I TELL YOU THAT'S NO HUNCH.
THE CARING EYES AND THE TENDER SMILE, TELL THE KIDS HAVE FUN LETS PLAY.
AND LATER AS THEY GROW THROUGH LIFE, THEY'LL REMEMBER MOTHER'S DAY

A lovely tribute to your mother and to all mothers, Tom. I could feel your love and respect for the one who raised you and it is a truly beautiful thing.
