AVERNUS

This poem is supposed to be read by someone I know who committed suicide. It is never too late I guess to save a life. Thinking a hundred times is always the best choice. A free verse.

Walk into Avernus with great desire

Dance with death in a blue fire 

Do not succumb

Do not depend

Put a thick line in every bend

Until soul searching is done

Never pull the trigger in that gun

Run! Run! Run!

Find a way not to return

There's a path you did not see

Do not listen to Hades

Do not trade it and be free

See crosses

See bruises

See roses and darkness

See rudeness and selfishness

The worth of life is always endless

I lost two brothers to suicide. I will never understand why but I learn. Some people can't fight the simple battles of life. Your lines left the reader with something to think about. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Yeah. Some people just do not know how to use a good defense mechanism to protect themselves from the harsh reality of life. Anyhow, suicide is always not the best option. Thank you for the review.

"AVERNUS" was a step in the right derection. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. It is hard to face these things but you have done so bravly. Your poem is such a truth telling voice to this sad commentary to the loss of life in a fashion which is just plain hard! "untill soul searching is done. Never pull the trigger on that gun."
