You, Your Husband, and The Widow (Horror)A Poem by C.A. Lucas
Walking down the hallway
The hallway of your home The home in which you used to play But now you're all alone Denying your fear Of the creaky old stair There is never a tear Just intruding of the lair Yes, your home has been changed This is no longer your home It belongs to the deranged Creature who merely roams She roams the bowels of your house Creeping under the bed She's no longer a spouse Her husband is dead She's to get back at life And death, who took him from her She'll grab her rusty knife Get back at the murderer And you will do anything to get revenge Because being widowed has turned you dead
