PersistanceA Poem by C.A. LucasAnd he won't stop Ever He will keep going ForeverA toddler With hardly any hair Huge brown bug eyes A button nose And a heart-warming smile With pearly white teeth And jolly, full lips With short arms And even stubbier fingers A big round tummy Some chubby and stubby legs With little dwarf feet Running Running Hefty breathing Powers his incapable limbs To keep going, going Going Running Breathing Running He won't stop He has a goal He is going to reach it Because that ultra-young brain of his Is as stubborn as a log And he won't stop Ever He will keep going Forever Unless he reaches his goal before then. So the little baby continues Chasing after the butterfly Flittering away from him Rapidly He will catch that butterfly With only one thing in his mind: I won't give up.
