True BeautyA Poem by C.A. LucasSure, they're big and tall And create meadows But they hold dark secrets like old poor widows And old recluses from the past Away from nuisances and all of that These rocky hills have stories told But lies hide souls, pure as gold The fields of trees And curious leaves Are more than we Could ever see The silky leaves Provide most of these Creature's needs They are silver keys The river flows The sun brings a glow We don't even know We are stupid This grand old piece Of the lasting peace Is more than we see We are unobservant We look too much The true beauty is what we hear Listen, child, the gentle sound Of a thousand tears
