Pathetic DeathA Poem by C.A. Lucas
Haha
Death. Yes, I just laughed at the word death We all should Death is mediocre Pathetic Death is naive It thinks it is so great When it is hardly a big deal It thinks it is a dark sky of lost spirits But it is only a hopeful light. Death will never amount to what we can be. We are more than physical We are more than bodies We have emotions, and souls Death can't touch our souls It only releases them from their cases. Death takes itself so seriously Some humans do, too It gives us an image The thing that frightens us the most But honestly Frankly Truthfully Death is not a skeleton Or a skull Death is not a black veil Death is not an endless hole Death is not a seductive woman Death is not a murderous man Death is not a jackolantern Death is not a monstrous creature Death is merely A greater step Than any us humans will ever take Thank you for your time.
