Tattooed Heart

Tattooed Heart

A Poem by CAL

I dreamt that trouble

Disappeared into sand

Gently kissed

Along the Ocean shores

That the sunrise distracts

Bloody warring hands

For only one moment

In calm still

That for only one

Fleeting lonely thought

To reflect on likeness

Instead of difference

But I know that

This could only be a prayer

Deeply woven into my skin

As a tattooed heart
