Twisted Ribbon

Twisted Ribbon

A Poem by CAL

Ocean crests are running wild with the wind

They sing in low tones kissing the shore
with seaweed eyelashes  as mascara lines
in a Sahara desert of endless dunes

My thoughts are twisted ribbons
elevated past the horizon
with a crystal path leading to the sun
a picture painting the day

Close your eyes and listen
to the songs of nature
breathe the Ocean allure
The seagulls laugh in the distance

I pray for their existence
