The Loss, Part 1

The Loss, Part 1

A Poem by C.M.
"

The event.

"
She tightens the rope.
She feels there is no hope,
She could no longer cope;
Her life was a downhill slope.

She thought no one would care
As she stood on the chair.
She let out a prayer,
Before she left to the open air.

If only I'd known,
I would have been there.

Sad. Very sad.
Regretful.
I'm sure anyone can, whether deeply or merely on the surface, relate to this.

I really like it. There's a fast pace to it, and then at the end you get hit with an extremely powerful couple of lines.

About
As you can tell, most of my writings are corny-love poems. This is due to the fact that I am a hopeless romantic! I value your opinion so if you have any suggestions then please leave comments. more..
