Where the Heart is

Where the Heart is

A Poem by C.M.

Home,
A resting corner,
A faithful abode,
A piece of peace,
A loving load.

Home,
As a child:
A place where we grow.

Home,
As a teen:
Where it is a woe

Home,
As an adult:
Where we want to go.

And this you should know:
No matter the bridges you burn,
You can always return
Home.

I ABSOLUTELY love this one! So amazing. I love the stanza "Home, As an adult: Where we want to go." Cuz it's so true. Old ppl... excuse me adults always want to be home! I love this so much!

Home is where the heart is...The simplicity of your writing is intriguing. Most times we read others work and we are looking for something "deeper" and that's not always the case...i like your style...keep pushing the pen
