The Mightiness of Light

The Mightiness of Light

A Story by C.D. Dalton
"

Darkness is abundant, always looming to take control when the lights go out. The power of light is the greatest power, it repels all darkness and all hate and all temptation. Find the power of light.

"
There is immense power in darkness, it keeps victims unable to defend themselves from the creeping evils of the world. For many this evil seems elusive and difficult to combat, they take the attitude that as long as they stay away from the dark, they have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately darkness spreads, it is not limited to one forbidden region, it can reside within your own household and most likely somewhere within yourself. It is the easier path, just turn off the light and the dark is there, simple. Just shut off the compassion and love and empathy and there is coldness from a lack of warmth... shut off duty, responsibility and selflessness and there is only ego and self obsession. It is so easy to just turn things off because it feels like a release of stress, it feels like accomplishment, but it is all a lie. For as long as you are shrouded in darkness, you are also in the dark and are also a potential victim.

As easy and as powerful as the darkness can feel, it is a lie, it is a deception. Our world is shrouded in darkness and makes darkness seem natural, the act of conforming feels so much better than rebellion. Flowing with the river wherever it goes feels much easier than fighting upstream against it, but we all know by now that the path of light and truth are not easy. Many of us have probably fallen off the path several times, some of us may have even jumped ship to the other path, the easy path. You are here now, on this page. If you do not know the power of the light, you will now. For no matter how dark it gets! ~~ Just one shining light, no matter how bright or how dull, eliminates the darkness. For where there is light, darkness may not enter! Darkness may be waiting for you and tempting you for all your life, but so long as you have the light within you, despite the source, darkness will not inhabit you, darkness will not defeat you.

Whatever religion or form of spirituality you practice, whatever you believe, there is light within you. You are made of it, you were made by it and you live among it. It does not matter what you have done in your past, as long as it remains in the past, the light is still there for you to embrace. The world may be in a state of darkness, but it doesn't need to stay that way. It's a big place, but each of you who choose and practice the path of light cause the dark to run from you, faster than any of us can conceive. There are no special tricks to finding the light within you, there is only you. There is no high truth as you might be looking for, all that you need to be all that you want to be is already within you, you only need to awaken it. So, don't listen to anyone who says you need this or you need that or anyone who says you can't do it just because they can't. Unfortunately not everyone finds their way, but that's no fault of anyone besides themselves. Nothing matters as much as being the light in the darkness, nothing. It doesn't need to be your only priority, but it should be your strongest one. What does the world have if it does not have light? Darkness... and in darkness, everything dies. Think of this message today and every day you feel yourself with less motivation or less enthusiasm about your path, this is not just your fight, it's ours.
