UntitledA Poem by Sequoia CoppleI'm really unsure of why I just wrote this. It just spilled out of me....I feel like I'm in a horrible nightmare. I hear people screaming and there's blood everywhere. I scream for you but you're not around. I start to walk forward and I look on the ground. There you lie, bloody and lifeless. I try to speak but I'm breathless. I drop to my knees and beg someone please. My body starts shaking. It feels like the ground is quaking. My hands are red with your blood. Then I hear a thud. Police are swarming. My eyes are wet. They give me a warning That giving up is my best bet. I cant believe what I've done. I stand up with the gun still in hand. A cop screams at me to drop it. I bend down and whisper in your ear. I'm sorry for what I have done. I will love you forever and always. I raise the gun and shed one last tear. The fire of the gun is the last thing I hear. They checked my body, I was dead. Someone coughed. They turned around, And there was my baby raising off the ground. The bullet hit his shoulder, I thought he was dead. He looked around, happy to be alive, Then he saw my body lying by his side. He couldn't speak and he started to cry. Before anyone knew what he was thinking. He grabbed the gun and started sinking, Back to the ground from wince he came. To be with his love in the fire to which she was now bound.
