What i'd give

What i'd give

A Poem by Neville

I'd give you my last breath up until my timely death, My chest struggles with the emotions it juggles through these tests.
I'm bugged by the rugged judgements I'm facing,
I guess it's just best
To leave now cause I know my causes in this life will never be met.
I'm a mess,
in my every day life though I strive to deflect,
The effect of feeling bunkered, punctured and under a threat.
A truth truly unreachable that weighs heavily set in stone,
I'm never alone,
though I condone I'll always be on my own.
My quest on this earth is an immovable force,
forced from the coldness in my bones stained from all the fake homes.
We walk through storms to prepare ourselves for the knowledge it may form,
We search,
reaching for the blue sky it leaves behind to be reborn.
I'm always left torn between two worlds,
hunched over and curled,
Hurled into an abyss that never never harbours a dawn.
Truth be told I'm done with trying to conform to the norm,
I'm waiting patiently accepting theres no Roses,
just thorns.

BEAUTIFUL! This is absolutely excellent!
The passion pours off the page and literally covered me in chills!
When I feel chills I always believe it's the Spirit of God.
This beauty is wonderful! I envy the one it's written for.
This is a Rose without thorns, Neville. Thank you for sharing.

To love somebody enough to give them the last breath you would ever take in a lifetime, is to love them beyond measure and throughout this sublimely inked poem you have captured that love superbly, Neville. Penned with a heavy heart and a feeling that life is a mess for varied reasons, daily life is a struggle, but from this skirmish with life, new life will spring forth and it will be a turning point which will bring blessed and brighter days ahead to enjoy. We have to reach the lowest point before reaching the highest point in our lives and that teaches us to appreciate life as we have never known it before and we value it so much more because of experiencing the opposite. It is a terrible feeling to be torn between two worlds, one where light never dawns, a deep abyss and one which is unknown. So happy to read that the poet is waiting patiently for change to take place, a change which will be for the better and which will come when he least expects it to. Then, the rose will be appreciated for its beauty, the thorns though still knowingly there, will seem invisible, only the beauty of the rose will be seen. The old days, the old ways, the old pain will fade into the mists of time and the new dawning will be fully appreciated and treasured. A poignant, eloquently penned poem with hope for a better tomorrow. Feelings are so finely expressed and captured in both words and visual detail. Thank you for sharing, Neville...
