Where i'm placedA Poem by Neville
As far as I can think back
A time when an inner smile would be evenly stacked My existence held no confusion Every contusion willingly made harnessed an unbreakable plaque A symbol, a homely crest in my chest Consistently faced west A head yearning to be evenly unpacked you let them in and they respond with such a colorful fear You being you, moves to adhere their embrace of a null and void whack I've been told my compassion is too loose Like I'm lost... I just choose to loosen a noose you use that defines how you react I hear what your sayin wholeheartedly But, I can't part from me I'm being partial but, partially Where you park now is not where my car's parked at I'll still instill though, showing no disrespect in how you feel 'bro' We're all pawns in this game of life So why the **** have you come packed? Save your fences and savour your defences for outsiders Those fake riders that ice skate dangerously beside late timers This wall...these ****in bricks, This hall filled with these ****in pricks I'm kind of residing inside a timeless mind so someone with kindness kindly rewind me. Find me a calm, embalm my pain and remand this stain, Discharge the harm I carry that blinds me I feel I'm blinded in my wiseness that shows why this time in my life is blindingly grimey. I'm placed where I should be, I won't challenge my fate, My status states that I'm a fool to think I can displace my destiny I won't chase a fake recipe or pine for elements that'll repel the best in me, I'll hold tight, and keep up the fight for the yellow brick road that brightly lights the path back to where the woman in my life patiently waits for me. © 2024 Neville
