Blessed GroundA Poem by Broken Hearted FauxGod's Tears
Bloody tears
Landed upon the field As men fell And God cried Cannon smoke Filled the air And men cried out Captain on horses Trees screamed Leaves shaken To the ground In fright Blood covered Every inch Of God's land Which he gave to us "Fire! The enemy!" Commander just to the right Another down And God cries Young men Not even yet 18 Fighting Over what? Land? Precious grass And ground For tilling And growing And instead Comforting corpses Cold and lifeless God cries This is his land Not ours Blessed ground Sacred With the final blow The cannon roared And smoke took The battle field Each side fell And God's tears Washed away their sins And buried the dead Rainbow Mist.. Filled the area And the tears... Of God... © 2011 Broken Hearted FauxReviews
