No this really isn't me. I haven't lost my mother. Just a child talking to God like a friend.

Wow, the fact that you say that this poem isnt about you. while i was reading this i thought "oh this is a personal poem" and then you say its not about you. i dont know if it sort of freaks you out on how many comments ive added on your poems and plus they are all my point of view of your capabilities in writing. back to the poem, its amazing how you can put yourself in the skin or mindset if you woud like of a child and portray how he/she sees things. not anyone can do something like that. you should keep it up and try doing more poemsl like this.
