Tucked cozy under the blankets
Fire set and going in the other room
It cracled and popped
As I watched my sweetheart dream

I lie in bed beside her
Unable to sleep
Barely can breathe
Her beauty a marvel

Love made not long ago
I was blessed
To whisper love
On such precious, tender skin

And hear her soul
And hear her soft cry
Watch the small arch of her back
As she blessed me with sweet honey

The gentle folds of her arms before
Wrapped around my waist
Heart beating like a humming bird
Could she not hear it..?

Then the soft glow of her cheeks
As her head rested on my shoulder
The contrast so deep
Black and white

Colors so far away
Yet so close
I held her close
Breathed her in

I love you
My tenshi

My chocolate
