Vision Of Peace

Just a little something...please don't judge harshly!

I could not believe what I was seeing

Soldiers laying down weapons

Sailors abandoning ships

Planes carrying bombs in their bellies

Being put down on landing strips

Peeling off helmets, and backpacks

Stripping from uniforms and fatigues

Telling their governments it's over

No more war will there be!

We've believed the lies far too long

Been pawns in evil wars

Killing people that are just like me!

Not being willing to fight any longer

World leaders began to talk

Resolving the worlds evils without violence

Something even children are taught!

Not having armies behind them

They had to learn other ways

Corporations had to defend their own

Safe passage in the world

Education and healthcare being funded

Caring for our brothers and sisters

Spreading peace, and love throughout

the world!

Civolisation is the humanization of man.This oracle of Methew Arnold , finds voice in your poem .It is the glorious vision of a vision oriented lady who within a few lines have depicted the universal demand of all men and women of this world , except the
political leaders who are the evil incarnates .
My admiration ,if any ,of this present poem, gets lost into joy :
I wish to love the poetess , I wish to make her a partner of my soul,

I really wish that this is the way it was. Our government our world it’s all so corrupt. If only people could learn not to throw around so much hate. What the world would be like if mankind was not blind to the truth. Great write!
