Intimacy

Intimacy

A Poem by Broken Wings

Intimacy, the word itself sounds

Close… seductive… alluring…

Whispered it sends shivers,

Makes me quiver passion.

Conflict, the push, the pull,

I desire something I fear so deeply,

Lately, my walls are shaking,

Someone’s knocking,

I am open, brace for the fall.

Your touch lingers long after your gone,

Your kiss is impressed on my lips,

Your words dwell in my heart,

I miss you deeply when we part.

Just to be close to you,

Is to feel the sun’s warm embrace,

Bask in spring’s sweet fragrance,

Breathe the freshest air,

Is to feel… alive.

Happiness replaces blood in my veins,

Millions of stars dance,

Creating constellations in my soul,

Shooting across a private sky,

A place for me and you.

Intimacy, a word redefined,

It makes me closer,

Closer to feeling,

Closer to falling,

Closer to you.

Pull me into your arms,

Hold me there sweetly,

A silent, perfect moment,

As you fall into my heart.

Willingly, I let you in,

Sigh, as the stars dance,

So beautifully golden,

Across a moonlit sky.
