Season's Change...

A fleeting thought in my mind

Heart broken too many times, 

men all seem the same, 

only after one thing-

to break it all over again. 

Then someone else comes along... 

he seems different,

but you want to stay defensive,

behind your walls- in your bubble 

in case your mistaken.

You like it... but your fearful, 

and with good reasons. 

But your heart starts to change,

like the trading of the seasons. 

Author's Note

I wrote this in a comment on someone else's poem and decided to make it into a short write. Personal thoughts... feedback is welcome as always, I love hearing from you all. I might add to it/ edit it as it was written in 2 minutes. Thoughts?

Always good to be safe. More bad folks than good. I understand the poem. Heartache make us escape to the safety of loneliness. I agree with the ending. Seasons will change. Maybe we can be brave again. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

this was really good :) and i know right? im sure youll find your soulmate it just might take ten years. but dont dwell on that just live your life, the way you want to, and he'll end up running into you, instead of you running looking for him
