Together Again

 

 

 

Love, dreams, and darkness

Collide in a cosmic burst.

Longing to be in your arms again,

In world that I once called home.

 

A million dollars in coins,

Thrown down a wishing well.

Velveteen hopes and thoughts

Diminish with a small splash.

 

Minutes and hours go by,

As the ticking clock comforts

Lonely thoughts and broken memories

Swirling in the abyss of my own mind.

 

I patiently wait inside my burning heart

When reality's nightmare shall fade.

Someday I know we will meet again,

We are all just a dream in the end.

 

Author's Note

Somewhat inspired my Evanescence's Together Again. I'm not so sure I'm satisfied, but it was a attempt to jump start my brain.

A good fantasy enjoyed it

Beautiful poem, but what awed me more than anything else, were the last two lines. Sound so fitting and perfect and makes you think about the whole life as a sort of illusion, a dream constantly mingling with reality.
