Dust

Forgotten unfinished writes that might never be finished.

 

 

 

 

Words penned on blank pages,

Softly spoken voices whisper

In the shadows within the coolness

Of a breeze caressing my cheeks.

 

Empty broken thoughts

Gone astray, never to seek life.

Reincarniation of timeless memories

Faded photographs engraved in my heart.

 

Sad melodies linger in the blackness,

Tales of love and laughter gone untold.

Imaginations that soared the horizons

Above and beyond universal skies.

 

Cautiously, I swipe the dust away

As I wonder if words once penned

Will ever find the chance to heard

For now, I wish them all a goodnight.

For me this is more than about words. Maybe it is just because of my current state of mind, but regardless...I think that once words are down on paper or on a screen it doesn't make them any more true or false. People can write anything and it means nothing. I mean like when one write about love and junk but it is all a hug lie. I am not trying to rant at the moment but I am just probably reading more into this than it is truly about. But anyways I still really like it and it appeals to me in a deep way.

Pieces forgotten to me are just like people. When we run across them again, the memories flood like the scents of lovers past. Some good, some evil. As I figured this out, I put mine into binders. A few binders later, I transcribe them to WC. Once done, I am going to close the account. Odd destination, but mine nonetheless.
