In AbsentiaA Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*Scattered images in broken glass, Grains of sand dissipate in whispering winds. The memories of your smile Haunting me at every waking moment.
Alone in my own dark thoughts, Lost in the bittersweetness of evanescence. A selfish eternity wasted, taken away By the hands of greed and rage.
Cast my soul in to the heavens, And let me stay above the clouds So they may no longer rain down their tears For me to swipe away from these burning eyes.
How can I move on pretending When my heart has been set aflame in regret And smoldering anger deepens within my soul, Longing to be in your loving arms once more. © 2012 *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*Author's Note
