Insanity

Written for class.

Twisted madness,

Irratic laughter of demons

Surrounded darkness

Blinding my visions.

 

Fires burn,

Memories turned to ashes.

Everything once beautiful

Floating away in the winds.

 

Taunting,

Cages rattling.

Unescapeable emotions

Scarring my heart.

 

Chains hold me tightly

The threads of the wasted.

Nightmares feasting

On the greatest of dreams.

 

I lie awakened,

Eyes gazing upon the stars

Tormented my soul

A monster, you've created me.

I like this because your descriptions are so great. I could feel the chains and the breathlessness with being bound to a stronger demon.. Something inside we can't break free from.. I love the last line for a personal reason.. Sometimes people don't like the monster that they've created in others but enjoy the journey in getting there..lol..xo
