Insanity

Written for class.

Twisted madness,

Irratic laughter of demons

Surrounded darkness

Blinding my visions.

 

Fires burn,

Memories turned to ashes.

Everything once beautiful

Floating away in the winds.

 

Taunting,

Cages rattling.

Unescapeable emotions

Scarring my heart.

 

Chains hold me tightly

The threads of the wasted.

Nightmares feasting

On the greatest of dreams.

 

I lie awakened,

Eyes gazing upon the stars

Tormented my soul

A monster, you've created me.

Where a person already feels themselves fulfilled in some way and cannot bring themselves to tutelage by others, it normally means an early entry into an experience of the world without the usual guides.
