Tears On Blank PagesA Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*I often wonder secretly within mind if there is enough room in that box for me and for you to share an eternity...together, once more - always and foreverLast night I dreamt of you again Alive, holding me close to your heart With gentle fingers combing my hair And songs whispering softly in my ears
Awoken, my tear-stained pillow In reality's nightmare, you no longer exist As I hold onto my withering dreams close Forever engraved upon my aching heart.
This sadness overcomes all emotions Shackles and chains, left unbroken My tears drenched in black ink Falling upon these blank pages.
Only the shadows playing on the walls Can understand such a wicked pain Taunting and playing in their own ideas Taking advantage of this suffering.
Lyrical disections of emotions Finding the words that do not exist No one will ever truly know or feel This unwanted, unimaginable hurt.
I often wonder, secretly within mind If there is enough room in that box For me and for you to share an eternity Together, once more -- always and forever.
Your whispers cut deep into my heart You would never want that of me. So I will write away this lifetime of pain In tears upon these blank pages.
