Just something that my mind made up.

Life is a masquerade

Eventually truth will be revealed

Hidden in the lies, everything burns

Ashes and broken dreams remain.

 

Diaries of empty pages

Echoes and words of past filled memories

Consumed in the fires of my heart

As it all starts to fade away.

 

Scattered in the winds of the lonely

All emotions gone astray

Screaming within my silence

Holding all rage and bitterness inside.

 

Wrapped in envy and empty promises

Slowly fading in the empty haze

The thousand tears of suffering torment

When everything burns to the ground.

I know not what drives these words upon the page, yet they are deep, full of anguish and pain and sorrow. They reach out and flow into the soul with effect. Makes me wish for a magic wand to remove such darkness, so that life might sing a bright tune. Perhaps it's the optimism in me that brings me to say, the sun will come out tomorrow! :)
