Rage

Betrayal.

I wish I could have you here

Alone, in my clutches

To drown you in the pain

You caused within my heart.

 

To have you as my sacrifice

As I have sacrificed myself for you

Only to feel broken and used

Like a toy for your entertainment.

 

Mercilessly engulfing me

In the flames of desire and love

And now I am feeling the burn

Cheated and utterly betrayed.

 

How was it? Was I on your mind?

As you exchanged the same bliss

A sinful embrace of love

And intoxicating passionate kiss.

 

Crimson red,

Consumed by the rage

Eating away at the kindness

I have always had within my heart.

 

You have burned me

For the last time

This battle, I will not lose

I will survive the burn.

Intense and emotionally charged. When love fails, the pain of heart break gives way to a burning desire for revenge to make that person suffer as much as you have, and probably even more. The feelings of being used and deceived are very much a part of this scene. Well written.

This piece is certainly contrasting to "List in a Kiss" Very starkly contrasting. Like a before and after, after a tornado thunders through the heart. You words always are able to carry emotion's and make them seem 3-dimensional. Great Ink!
