Inspiration

Inspiration

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*

Surround me

In loving embrace

Of beauty and desire

Lost in inspiration.

Whites and snowy blue-whites

That shimmer in the light..

Making your palette a variation

On the hues and shades of muted colors,

Stealing the gazes

Awestruck with goosebumps

Unable to look away

At the sights bestowed upon me.

Jaded colors shine

But lose their will to stay

As you keep painting with new colors

Upon every seasonal horizon

With new colors of oranges and yellows

To the pearly frozen white of snow

Mixing with the fluttering clouds of our world.

Even in the darkness

There is light

The shining gems of our moonlit skies

Giving the term "starstruck"

A whole new meaning to my soul.

Poets of our generation and

generations of before

Telling their own personal stories of truth

Sharing their own ideas with anyone...

Everyone...

Where impossible becomes possible.

Mighty swords of power

To overcome the chaos and darkness.

Anyone can bring light to end of the tunnel

Bring the power to see and believe

What is right in the eyes of the beholder

There is even beauty in the darkness.

Searching, wandering

Down their paths of creation and dreams

Imaginations gone wild or simply staying put

In the world of their own reality

In their own minds to open the treasure chest

Of their souls and sometimes aching hearts.

Inspiration is everywhere...

In our light and dark

The sun and the moon

The changes of seasons

In each others hearts and minds.

All we need to do is open our eyes

And see what lies ahead.

"Jaded colors shine
But lose their will to stay
As you keep painting with new colors"

How do you do it?
I know exactly where You get inspiration from.. Yourself! You are the epitome of inspiration! Wow!
I have come to appreciate something important from this poem. I can now surmise where I myself get the drive to write. From inside..
"Inspiration is everywhere..."
Of what use is "everywhere" without "inspiration" and contrariwise? It is the drive to create from inside of you that leads you to be so exceptionally talented!
cheers mate!

Ah, the beautiful concept of light within darkness. It's an idea that I've seen much of on this site over the past few weeks, including in my own writing. This is a wonderful poem, beautifully delivering an uplifting message. Personally, however, I tend to disagree with the last line. Instead of looking to a brighter future - 'what lies ahead' - I believe that, to find inspiration, we must look to the immediate present. The present dissolves the perceived darkness of our past in order for us to see its' beauty. Only by looking at our immediate present, which is essentially exactly where we need to be, do we see that our past - which may have seemed terrible at the time - was really only part of the journey that brought us to this immaculate, infinite moment. That's my belief, anyway :)
Fantastic poem, Anna, keep them coming.
