The Invisible Plan

The Invisible Plan

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*
"

Been seeing these on Writerscafe, so I decided to write one myself. A rambling thought in my head.

"

Have you ever looked down

Deep within yourself

Wondered and asked the question

How did I end up here?

Or how did I get this way?

All of us, on the same but different paths

Within our lives like going through a portal

Or some kind of tunnel directing us.

Between what we see, or have seen

And what we have on the inside.

We share the same battles within ourselves

Fighting our demons and dark thoughts

Like Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde

The good versus the evil...

Side of ourselves.

I wonder if this is part of something

Something more than just God himself

A universal, invisible force of a plan

And we each have a role...

In this game called life.

Overruling and observing...

Is this our salvation?

Or our own destruction

With the deepest depths of humanity

As we cross paths and follow

To the end.

Oh yes I believe we all go through these questions many times in our lives... I think even we don't understand ourselves sometime, like why we do certain routines or like or dislike certain things. Coarse if we spend to much time looking for answers we will miss out on living in the present.

A thought provoking ramble.

You wrote this beautifully, and you pose amazing questions, which I haven't thought about in a while. Thanks :)

Beautifully written. The message behind it really hit home. It was powerful. The last few lines wrapped the piece up very well. It really left me thinking.

This is a question that we all face and it is something that I have actually posted about. Who Am I is a post that deals with much the same thing and you put it in much better perspective than I.

A very well written and interesting read. I believe everyone thinks about this at some point in their lives. Where did we come from? Where are we going? Is there something greater than myself? These are all questions no one has the answer reallly. Only guesses. This was a good read.

You asked some hard to anwser quesions in that poem. I think that eventually everyone has to reach the point in thier life where it is like a good vs evil Dr.Jeykll and Mr. Hyde moment it's something that you can't hide from and you need to just face it head on.

I like the way you're thinking. I like the idea of looking into oneself for the profound answers one seeks. In my opinion, however, the inner battle is not really a battle at all - viewing it as a battle makes it painful, makes it destructive. But, if you look at this constant push and pull, ebb and flow of apparently opposing forces within you, and you begin to realize that both sides hold the same lessons and the same truths as you look at them deeper, you begin to realize that they are, in fact, one. The only decision to make is to learn from both sides and thus gain the full picture. I am not suggesting that we should 'give in' to the 'dark side' and allow ourselves to be evil - I am suggesting that we learn to embrace the 'dark side' in a different way - I am suggesting that we learn to learn from our own darkness and thus turn it into light; turn it into good; make it healthy for us and for others. Then we begin to walk a neutral path without the delusions of good and evil and we begin to see that all is really good if taken in the right way and all can be bad if taken in the wrong way. Well, not much of a critical analysis. But those are the thoughts that your poem provoked in me. So thank you, and well done.
