Gaia's Painting

Gaia's Painting

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*
"

I could never imagine not sharing this. Gaia is greek for Mother Nature, by the way.

"

Emerald green,

Like Irish Isle

Shining brightly like a gem.

High above,

An ocean of azure blue,

With weightless feathering clouds

Smiling down upon their mirrored reflection

Without a care in the world,

Floating away

Towards unknown destinations.

The sun shines brightly

Upon her treasures

And the colored hues of her palette

Melt together in perfect harmony.

She adds the perfect combinations

Of dark and bright colors,

Adding to this speechless poet's amazement

For the beauty she has shown me

On this beautiful autumn day.

The leaves fluttering in the wind

Like butterflies flying

Amongst the trees and flowers.

In the brisk cool air,

She adds a touch of oranges, reds and yellows

Bleeding brightly to almost match

Her ball of flames beyond our horizons

Where imaginations soar into

The universal skies of darkness and mystery.

Soon the sun begins to set,

And her painting starts to change.

As her blues become pinks and

Deep purples.

Diamonds begin to sparkle

Amongst this planet, as I dance

Beneath her spotlight.

Like a gorgeous memory,

I am haunted by her beauty

Tantalizing me and pulling the strings

Of my senses, I am mesmerized.

Her almost strange ability to create

Such a work of art,

I can not help but wonder

If this is nothing but a beautiful dream

And I do not want to be awaken.

She is an artist like no other,

And I am blown away into oblivion

By her ability to paint.

Anxiously, I await for the coming seasons

To see what she can paint next,

As I walk amongst her gallery of art.

Yesterday I spent the day hiking and layed my eyes upon this beautiful image. Suddenly this wind swept over me and I couldn't get this out of my head.

I love nature, and I love this. It is a perfect description of all that beauty to be found out there, when we just slow down, look around, and take a little walk on the wild side. Stunning.

ooo I am so jealous! I wish I had been hiking! Glad nature still inspires :) I would use a diff word than "azure" to describe the sky though... that descriptive word has been overplayed

The artistry and splendor of nature is awesome and sometimes even overwhelming. What a pity that some don't fully appreciate it. By your inspired, beautiful words here, I can see that you are not one of those.
