Butterfly Kisses

Butterfly Kisses

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*
"

true story

"

I wandered in my garden today,

Admiring the palette of colors

Mother nature has bestowed upon me

Giving me the chance to see.

Flowers still trying to keep their colors

Before the cold weather finally arrives

Then its off to dreamland

Until spring approaches once more.

A butterfly fluttering sweetly,

Landing upon my hand

I wondered if it was you

Smiling at me from a far.

I wish to have you back

But I'll always remember what you've taught

If you catch a butterfly,

Whisper a wish, and set it free.

This poem is tender. It is delicate. As delicate as the butterfly you speak of...The grace that I have come to associate with your writing is felt here as well. The emotions seem so fragile, like they would break at the slightest hostility that comes their way....Favourite lines here:

"Then its off to dreamland
Until spring approaches once more."

and

If you catch a butterfly,
Whisper a wish, and set it free.

The last ones, especially in the context of what is said before them, bring the poem to a magically soft conclusion. Beautiful write!

Absolutely beautiful. Note: "palatte"-misspelled. (palette). I loved it never the less.

Butterfly kisses!! Nicely done. In my native village I could see a lot of butterflies. They are gorgeous, especially when they sit on flowers and I love when they touch me. This is a nice poem with nice imagery. Great write. :)
