Stolen Innocence

Stolen Innocence

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*
"

Dark past that I no longer have to worry about. New home, new life, new place. But the memories of my father will last forever.

"

I remember...

Just like it was yesterday

A little girl,

Barely 7 years old.

Drawing pretty pictures in her room

And dreaming within her mind

Her future....

She dreamed one day,

She would rule the world.

There was silence

Throughout the house

Daddy had been drinking

And mommy was no where to be found.

A silent wind whisper

Came over me,

"My dear precious child

Lay your head down to sleep

Let go, give me your dreams

Dreams, you will never know.

After this day, you shall have none

Forever lingering in your tears

And sorrow."

Satan's son, a vile man

Robbing a child of her innocence

Taking full advantage, full control

No child should to withstand

Unable to wake from this nightmare.

I remember...

Like it was yesterday

The day he robbed me

And my innocence

...was stolen.

A father who steal the dream of a baby girl of seven need a bad death. The poem is powerful and sad. I fear for my three daughters. I was a soldier for 15 years. I saw what men could do. Thank you for powerful poem. Children and woman need to know safety and be able to live a good life. Thank you for the excellent poem.
