Dreaming The Same Dream

Dreaming The Same Dream

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*

I have spent many sleepless nights

Staring into the clouds above,
Focused on the diamond skies

Arranging themselves into your image.

Lightyears of memories linger,

In the crevices of my stricken mind.

Wondering if the moon's gravitional pull,

Could ever bring you back to me.

Dream of those moments,

Our galaxies colliding - supersonic booms

Brightening my darkened skies

As you tenderly touched my heart.

I wonder where you are now,

Silently wishing upon a billion stars.

Dreaming of the love we once had,

We could have had it all--and so much more.

Under the same universal skies,

I have yet to find the edge...

Endless dreams of what used to be,

When our future shined on the world below.

I wonder where your heart is now,

Building new horizons from dark matter.

Under the same skies,

Dreaming the same dream.

Nothing so potent as the emotions!
You always deliver such wonderful images...
Strong and yet fragile

Oooh those moments when our mind races with the emotions that use to be and we wonder why it didn't happen or couldn't happen. Scenes playing in our mind like it was yesterday. I love the way you use the night sky and the stars to dream upon. Truly beautiful scenery embedded with sadness.
