SunA Poem by Jeremiah hiselA sonnet about the Sun.Sun By:Jeremiah Elliot Hisel
The suns light shined on me this morning. Its heat penetrated deep down into my soul. Life without its beauty would be boring. Without its love none would live or be whole. We eat the fruit it helps to create on Earth Its rays feed the trees and its light shines bright. The first time I felt its kiss was at birth. Oh how we miss its smile and care at night. A day in the darkness may not kill us. But a lifetime can destroy totally. I cannot see it but only feel it thus My words come out most anecdotally I don’t need to see it to know its there Even thought I am blind the suns love is fair © 2011 Jeremiah hisel |
