Speak No Evil!

Speak No Evil!

A Poem by Lethmelodis
"

One of my quickly thrown together sociolpolitical songs. Very fast, 'Misfits/Sex Pistols'-style punk. About school shootings and how people need to man the hell up to a real solution.

"

An un-avenged vendetta,
With an ending left unsaid,
Damned by the shocking evidence,
The empty chambers; the empty heads.

Who can we blame for these crimes,
Atrocities committed against the state?
We all know to blame ourselves,
But its too much to be said, and its much too late.

So lets blame the movies,
Lets blame the rock and roll,
Lets blame alternate religion,
God save the childs pagan soul.

Lets blame it on the difference,
Of mass when a bullet hits a brilliant head,
In one day everything could change,
Bang, we fucked up, another innocent dead.

See no evil!
Dont speak of it?

Speak no evil!
Dont fix it!

An unsettling disturbance,
Which teens continue to commit,
Do we learn from our lessons?
No, we continue to not give a s**t.

Who can we blame for these actions,
These murders in broad daylight?
We all know to blame ourselves,
But hey, "See no evil, speak no evil" right?

So lets blame the movies,
Lets blame the rock and roll,
Lets blame alternate religion,
God save the childs pagan soul.

Lets blame it on the difference,
Of mass when a bullet hits a brilliant head,
In one day everything could change,
But bang, we fucked up, another child dead.

See no evil!
Dont speak of it?

Speak no evil!
Take no s**t!
