My Achille's HeelA Poem by Bushra NaqshbandiAchilles,a Greek hero, was dipped in the Styx so that he became invincible. His mother held his heel out of the water and it became the only vulnerable pt. to kill him.He is my Achille's heel, In that he is my weakness, Yet keeps me anchored To the mortal world.
He is the only part of me which hurts, He is the only part of me which feels, He is the part of me full of compassion, He is the only part of me which is human.
He makes me strive towards goodness, He makes me realise my weaknesses, He drives me in the right direction in a harness, Brings out the best in me in a manner effortless.
So what if he isn't made for me? He's what makes me human. So what if we're not together? He's what keeps me going. For he's not just my love, But my passion, my sympathy, He's my pain, my sorrow, My silence and my symphony.
He's a part of my memories, Not something they can steal, He's the only reason I feel, He's my Achille's heel. . .
