Book 3: First Meeting Remembered Part 3A Chapter by Burr the Story SorceressThe eight Masters Sisters get together for dinner at their favorite restaurant. During dinner, Honor's younger sisters get her to tell them about how she and Alexander met.Honor's story was interrupted by the waiter coming to take their orders. After a few minutes of muttering and pointing the orders were placed and everyone was set. After the waiter had gone and everyone was settled again the sisters all turned to their older sister.
“Let me guess,” said Justice as she played with her straw. “Four demons, three fire and an air. All members of the Zerdin.”
“Nope,” Honor said with a smile. “Six fire and all servants of the former Glengry. They thought I killed him.”
“And the vampire,” Serenity started to ask, “was it-”
“Alexander? Yes.” Honor nodded and looked down at her drink so her sisters couldn't see the sadness in her eyes. “Rinzer killed his family. All of them.”
Salvation's cold gaze malted a little at that. “Everyone? Didn't he have sisters?”
“He had thirteen older sisters and one younger,” Grace said. “They all died along with their parents on the birthday of the youngest daughter.”
The entire table was quiet. All remembered what it had been like to lose their parents. Not one of the woman present could image their lives without their siblings beside them. Honor ripped her napkin into pieces, trying to hold back the tears she wanted to shed for Alexander.
Salvation broke the silence, not liking the sadness lacing it. “You got blood on your robes, didn't you?”
Melody grabbed the comment and ran with it. “Oh, you must have been pissed. You love your black robes. I don't know why.” She glanced down at her brightly colored and formfitting dress. “You should try one of my dresses. I have a purple one that would look killer on you.”
“Could we not talk about m clothes, please?” Honor snapped. “You don't see me in my robes now, do you?”
“No, but those pants hide your great legs.” Serenity commented.
“I think Honor dresses just fine,” Truth said, coming to her sister's defense.
“Of course you do, Truth,” Justice replied. “You're blind! You can't even see her clothes!”
“Okay, this needs to stop.” Harmony put a hand on Justice's shoulder. “That is crossing a line. Honor can dress any way she wants to, even if I agree and think that if she did wear the purple dress Melody mention that Alexander would die of shock.”
“Hey!” Honor gasped.
“No, he wouldn't die,” Serenity pointed out with a evil grin. “He would jump her. She wouldn't be wearing it long.”
The younger sisters giggled as Honor tried to regain her breath and not blush. She struggled to find something to say to distract from what Serenity had said. Of course, it was very hard to fight the truth. Alexander already spent a good deal of time trying to get Honor to share his bed with him and Honor wearing a dress may be taken as an invitation.
Rajah, the large orange and black tiger that served as Truth's eyes, lifted his head from his paws and looked up at his mistress. The young girl stroked his large head and said, “Rajah wants to know where Alexander comes into the story. You turned to face the demons and then what?”
Honor took a calming breath as her sisters turned their attention to her story and not her love life. “So, I turned, pissed at the blood on my favorite robes, to find six fire demons looking like they wanted to make me a quick snack....” © 2009 Burr the Story SorceressAuthor's Note
