The Record Keeper

This is about my school's librarian and my main editor, when I get around to giving her copies of my work, Ms. Polstin.

The Record Keeper does not like to fight

But if you push her she will not go light.

She takes good care of the books we possess.

She prefers to be simple in her dress.

Now, I do like her, but I must admit

That when she is mad she can throw a fit

And she is kinda sorts nit-picky

And when annoyed things tend to get sticky.

Those are the only vices I could find

But some others think she has lost her mind.

Their opinions are their's and not my own

On me over the years she has grown.

She is my one and only editor

And a responsible mediator.

So to her I am always sweet and kind

Or my passport to torture I have signed.

Although she isn't involved in this game

I know her nature would drive her to fame.
