Burning Worlds

Burning Worlds

A Poem by Alexander
"

My first poem here.

"

Ashes falling from twisted parapets,
Glowing darkly against the sunrise.
Worlds from far-fetched tales of mystery and magic,
Burnt by the fire of countless dragons.

But the dragons also burn, burnt by their own fire,
Flaming from their own destruction.
Their greed now has a punishment,
Their land and gold destroyed by their own volition.

But one dragon cannot be killed by merely fire,
And it's greatest treasure is its words and thoughts.
These words, these thoughts, outlast the mortal coil,
Burning brighter than one thousand worlds.

This dragon... is a poet.
