My House

A Poem by ApplesAreAmazing

This is my version of "Under the Back Porch" by Virginia Hamilton that I wrote in my Language Arts class © BurningEmbers(ApplesAreAwesome)2013, All Rights Reserved

"
My house is two stories high,
And it always groans with a sigh.

Behind my house is a quaint little yard,
But it doesn't extend quite very far.

My favorite place is under a tree.
It's a perfect place for a group of three.

Rays of light creep through the leaves,
The leaves only rustle in the breeze.

If you look outside, you can't see me,
But if you look very closely, you can see my tree.
