Tears For A Stranger

Tears For A Stranger

A Poem by Child of God
"

a dedication to something that's touched my heart in a way I haven't felt in a long time

"

I don't even know you, and yet somehow I'm torn apart

Because the story of your struggle has deeply touched my heart

I guess you could say I can relate, or sympathize with you

In my life there were many times, where I was bullied too

Your story is one of the saddest to ever grace the page

A child who chose to leave the world at such an early age

To hear a story such as yours, fills me with such anger

And leaves me with a broken heart, and tears shed for a stranger

Thank you so much :)
Unfortuntely, some of the stories we see on the news every day are heart wrenching. While we might not know the people involved, we can feel emotions for the pain they are experiencing. A very compassionate and empathetic write. Lydi**

Brutally so, absolutely.
People we meet in stories are almost as close to us as the people we meet in reality. This is why hearing each others' stories can carry more power than all the data or facts or studies in the world.

true lol :P
It's strange to think how another's story can affect us in such a personal way, but it is able to. Sure, we may not know them, but certain parts of their lives if known, we could surely relate to and sympathize with them, for them...and in that moment, they aren't simply "strangers" to us anymore, they become more than that...they become a friend, a human being, perhaps even a part of us...
