Border of Midnight

Border of Midnight

A Poem by Buried Horizons

Meet me at sundown.
On the border of midnight,

Where the dimness envelopes us,

So that we have no reason to be found.

I want you to use every drop of your senses.
Full capacity.

So that you can utterly consume.

Every hue.

Of my dark purples and greys.

Your stars nestling into my moon.

The phases,

Ever changing.

Waxing and waning.

You possess,

Every crescent of my innermost soul.

Eclipse me,

Without overtaking.

So that you can just hold,

Every tiny piece of me,

I want to be enclosed,

Into every crevice of your daybreak.

Assemble me,

Into your twilight hours,

So that I never have to awaken.

Color me into your ombre lunar dreams.

So that I can savor the feel of your lips,

Brushing against every inch of my skin.

Our planets align,

Come seek me,

At the pale edges of the milkyway.

I want to feel you under my fingertips,
Under the ultraviolet rays,

Of our shared universe.
