The World as I Knew It

The World as I Knew It

A Poem by xxxrawr_friendxxx
"

About a friend moving away.

"
My heart has hollowed
From the sorrow of your absence.
The cavity that once held happiness
Has overflowed with liquid depression
Mixing into my blood,
Streaming through my body.
The memories cradle my thoughts
With soft, caring hands
That turn to cold stone
With the aging of a mind.
I don't want to forget, I will never forget.
You are the times that molded my life
You are the embodiment of what everyone wants-
Friendship, happiness,
Love, and brightness.
Perfect, yet imperfect.
We held each others' hand
As we walked into the real world for the first time.
I wish time would just rewind
Just step back into that era
And forget about me,
Lock me back inside of my memories
To live them over and over
