Death to my Heart

Inspired by Katawa Shoujo, named similarly to a BOTDF song.

I walk over to the window

To see birds rustling about. 

Their soft twitters of friendship 

Fill my ears with delight. 

The brown of trees

Contrasted with bright white snow

Got me lost in wondrous life. 

The most lovely sight averted my gaze

Beautiful blonde

Crystal blue eyes

Dancing across the pale floor,

Smiling with curiosity. 

My heart fills with warmth, adrenaline. 

It skips a beat. 

It flutters. 

I breathe. 

She turns toward my house and I run to the door

Opening it for her with a smile

She steps into view and walks toward me slowly

But something doesn't seem right...

She told me we should talk anymore 

She just came to say goodbye

I could hear the tears in her voice as she walked away

Leaving me there, expressionless...

I stood in the snow confused

I felt my heart rate rise

Alarmingly fast,

My heart fluttered,

I didn't care. 

I felt as if I was going to implode

To just melt into myself

I stopped breathing when I realized I couldn't.

The last thing I saw was her turning around, horrified. 

The last think I heard was her scream. 

The last thing I touched was hot blood streaming from my throat

The last thing I felt was the emotions draining from my body
