The seductive voices of the Silent

The sweetest harmony

I'm the only one that can hear them,

Why have they taken intrest in me?

 

They only want to love me

And they've loved others, too.

But they've all wanted to abandon them-

Something I'll never do.

 

They make me lust for blood,

Sometimes scream for peace.

I drink until they are satisfied...

...For the moment, at least.

 

One whispers through my soul,

Etching it with yearn.

"Please, love me the way I love you;

I can teach you what you want to learn.

 

Sometimes they hurt me a little-

I smile and give what they need.

I put on entertaining shows for them,

Hoping they will be pleased.

 

Sometimes I rip out their spinal cords,

Or throw knives as the humans flee.

I know the Silent love the interesting things-

Their my best friends, you see.

 

I will never be like the others.

I will never force them to leave.

They're my everything as I am theirs.

They are a part of me.

 

"Insane" the children yell,

They love to make fun of me.

"It's okay, love," my world whispers with a kiss,

"Simply kill who doesn't believe."

Good piece, I like the creativity with words and how its fun and evil at the same time. You seemed to have been using an abcb rhyme scheme in most stanzas and i'm left wondering what happened in the others, don't know if that was deliberate.
